Baruch 1:15-22; 2:1-35

Our Confession

And ye shall say, To the Lord our God belongeth righteousness, but unto us the confusion of faces, as it is come to pass this day, unto them of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, And to our kings, and to our princes, and to our priests, and to our prophets, and to our fathers-
For we have sinned before the Lord,
And disobeyed him, and have not hearkened unto the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in the commandments that he gave us openly-
Since the day that the Lord brought our forefathers out of the land of Egypt, unto this present day, we have been disobedient unto the Lord our God, and we have been negligent in not hearing his voice.
Wherefore the evils cleaved unto us, and the curse, which the Lord appointed by Moses his servant at the time that he brought our fathers out of the land of Egypt, to give us a land that floweth with milk and honey, like as it is to see this day.
Nevertheless we have not hearkened unto the voice of the Lord our God, according unto all the words of the prophets, whom he sent unto us-
But every man followed the imagination of his own wicked heart, to serve strange gods, and to do evil in the sight of the Lord our God.

Therefore the Lord hath made good his word, which he pronounced against us, and against our judges that judged Israel, and against our kings, and against our princes, and against the men of Israel and Judah,
To bring upon us great plagues, such as never happened under the whole heaven, as it came to pass in Jerusalem, according to the things that were written in the law of Moses;
That a man should eat the flesh of his own son, and the flesh of his own daughter.
Moreover he hath delivered them to be in subjection to all the kingdoms that are round about us, to be as a reproach and desolation among all the people round about, where the Lord hath scattered them.
Thus we were cast down, and not exalted, because we have sinned against the Lord our God, and have not been obedient unto his voice.
To the Lord our God appertaineth righteousness - but unto us and to our fathers open shame, as appeareth this day.
For all these plagues are come upon us, which the Lord hath pronounced against us
Yet have we not prayed before the Lord, that we might turn every one from the imaginations of his wicked heart.
Wherefore the Lord watched over us for evil, and the Lord hath brought it upon us - for the Lord is righteous in all his works which he hath commanded us.
Yet we have not hearkened unto his voice, to walk in the commandments of the Lord, that he hath set before us.

Our Prayer

And now, O Lord God of Israel, that hast brought thy people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and high arm, and with signs, and with wonders, and with great power, and hast gotten thyself a name, as appeareth this day-
O Lord our God, we have sinned, we have done ungodly, we have dealt unrighteously in all thine ordinances.
Let thy wrath turn from us - for we are but a few left among the heathen, where thou hast scattered us.
Hear our prayers, O Lord, and our petitions, and deliver us for thine own sake, and give us favour in the sight of them which have led us away-
That all the earth may know that thou art the Lord our God, because Israel and his posterity is called by thy name.
O Lord, look down from thine holy house, and consider us - bow down thine ear, O Lord, to hear us.
Open thine eyes, and behold; for the dead that are in the graves, whose souls are taken from their bodies, will give unto the Lord neither praise nor righteousness- But the soul that is greatly vexed, which goeth stooping and feeble, and the eyes that fail, and the hungry soul, will give thee praise and righteousness, O Lord.
Therefore we do not make our humble supplication before thee, O Lord our God, for the righteousness of our fathers, and of our kings. For thou hast sent out thy wrath and indignation upon us, as thou hast spoken by thy servants the prophets, saying,
Thus saith the Lord, Bow down your shoulders to serve the king of Babylon - so shall ye remain in the land that I gave unto your fathers.
But if ye will not hear the voice of the Lord, to serve the king of Babylon,
I will cause to cease out of the cites of Judah, and from without Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride - and the whole land shall be desolate of inhabitants.
But we would not hearken unto thy voice, to serve the king of Babylon - therefore hast thou made good the words that thou spakest by thy servants the prophets, namely, that the bones of our kings, and the bones of our fathers, should be taken out of their place.
And, lo, they are cast out to the heat of the day, and to the frost of the night, and they died in great miseries by famine, by sword, and by pestilence.
And the house which is called by thy name hast thou laid waste, as it is to be seen this day, for the wickedness of the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

God's Promise Recalled

O Lord our God, thou hast dealt with us after all thy goodness, and according to all that great mercy of thine,
As thou spakest by thy servant Moses in the day when thou didst command him to write the law before the children of Israel, saying,
If ye will not hear my voice, surely this very great multitude shall be turned into a small number among the nations, where I will scatter them.
For I knew that they would not hear me, because it is a stiffnecked people - but in the land of their captivities they shall remember themselves.
And shall know that I am the Lord their God - for I will give them an heart, and ears to hear-
And they shall praise me in the land of their captivity, and think upon my name,
And return from their stiff neck, and from their wicked deeds - for they shall remember the way of their fathers, which sinned before the Lord.
And I will bring them again into the land which I promised with an oath unto their fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and they shall be lords of it - and I will increase them, and they shall not be diminished.
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them to be their God, and they shall be my people - and I will no more drive my people of Israel out of the land that I have given them.

From Anger to Exaltation

"God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry?" --Jonah 4:9

"Anger is not always or necessarily sinful, but it has such a tendency to run wild that whenever it displays itself, we should be quick to question its character, with this inquiry, "Doest thou well to be angry?" It may be that we can answer, "YES." Very frequently anger is the madman's firebrand, but sometimes it is Elijah's fire from heaven. We do well when we are angry with sin, because of the wrong which it commits against our good and gracious God; or with ourselves because we remain so foolish after so much divine instruction; or with others when the sole cause of anger is the evil which they do. He who is not angry at transgression becomes a partaker in it. Sin is a loathsome and hateful thing, and no renewed heart can patiently endure it. God himself is angry with the wicked every day, and it is written in His Word, "Ye that love the Lord, hate evil." Far more frequently it is to be feared that our anger is not commendable or even justifiable, and then we must answer, "NO." Why should we be fretful with children, passionate with servants, and wrathful with companions? Is such anger honourable to our Christian profession, or glorifying to God? Is it not the old evil heart seeking to gain dominion, and should we not resist it with all the might of our newborn nature. Many professors give way to temper as though it were useless to attempt resistance; but let the believer remember that he must be a conqueror in every point, or else he cannot be crowned. If we cannot control our tempers, what has grace done for us? Some one told Mr. Jay that grace was often grafted on a crab-stump. "Yes," said he, "but the fruit will not be crabs." We must not make natural infirmity an excuse for sin, but we must fly to the cross and pray the Lord to crucify our tempers, and renew us in gentleness and meekness after His own image."

CH Spurgeon, I think...

Ya know, the world is really friggin' ugly right now, we live among a bunch of hateful asps, and they hate themselves more than anyone else. That's an extremely dangerous kind of hatred. It's the lowest of the low and when it creeps into your life, you're gonna be tempted to become angry in kind...

I hate those that oppose themselves and God with a perfect hatred, but I wont allow that to allow me the pleasure of condemning them or judging them. Such is not my place. But I will judge sin for what it is, and I'll judge it in my life harsher than anywhere else...Because I too hate myself when I sin.

It's hard when you give all your love to someone only to find that they wish you the worst in their hearts. People in this world are capable of the most disgusting acts of cruelty and debauchery ever imagined and they do it all while portraying themselves to be "healers," "therapists," "physicians," and "instructors" and men and women of honor and nobility...What is the man of God supposed to do in such a context? It's maddening and the Enemy loves this. What insanity!

And we wonder why some become Nazis and KKK members...think about what the transgressor must yet protect if he hopes to have anything at all!

Even the mightiest of us, are not islands, we have as much need for companionship and fellowship as the next person. Evil people have a fairly easy time finding companionship and fellowship though they don't cherish it as they ought or even recognize its beauty. They treat it as the whore does a "trick." Or the wayward wife her afternoon "excursion." They are very childish in their perception of "fellowship." Never growing beyond a base understanding of "give and take" in relationships, they give full vent to all their loathsome energies and desires and will have them fulfilled or else...lash out, strike down, and hurt whatever denies them their right to put their hand in a cookie jar...They don't think of the lusting for the cookie as sin, but as their right, and if you deny them that cookie, YOU, not they are breaking the Law. This is the stupid mentality of the sinner, and I hate it, and have no patience for it. Yet what can one do? We, godly men are hedged in. The tares are ever increasing in number. And the instruction?

Mat 5:43-45 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Why can't we judge anyone? What if we, after judging, fall into transgression ourselves? Now not only must we deal with our own lusting selves but our tresspass of judgment against someone else's lusts...

Man! It is so tough yet so easy to be perfect, all it really requires is agreement. Notice how much contention there is in the world? These are the lusts that are in our own flesh like infirmities and cancers for which there is no cure...And the only relief one gets from cancer is from the touch of God. That is the Power everyone wants, though very few want to keep it pure...Most of the abominations in this world, want to use it up again and again, coming back every hour for another "cookie." They don't and cannot desire that which is righteous. They are dead and must feed like the grave.

Jam 4:1-10 From whence [come] wars and fightings among you? [come they] not hence, [even] of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and [your] joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

You have NO chance without God. In the current reality, you have little chance with God, but that is more than anyone else beside you has...Cherish that! Thank Him every hour, every minute for His Grace because when Grace runs out, then cometh Wrath and who shall be able to stand that Day?

Jacob 5:77

And when the time cometh that evil fruit shall again come into my vineyard, then will I cause the good and the bad to be gathered; and the good will I preserve unto myself, and the bad will I cast away into its own place. And then cometh the season and the end; and my vineyard will I cause to be burned with fire.

Hbr 6:4-8 For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.
For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
But that which beareth thorns and briers [is] rejected, and [is] nigh unto cursing; whose end [is] to be burned.

 

An interesting fact about God and Jesus is that He often mirrors Creation and is torn apart by its disobedience.

Hate cannot defeat Love, all it can do is rage and rant until it is consumed and destroyed of itself.

When we praise anything worthy, God recognizes Himself/Love in us and acknowledges the Value of whatever brought this Affectation forth from Us.

Our Works and Values, Concerns and Efforts, have become forced and a product of pride, fear and loathing...There is little Faith and Love in what we do for ourselves and others, and in Its place, is an ugly sort of Pride and willful pushing on against all common and uncommon sense, pushing on no matter what, staying the course though we can already sense the end is nowhere anyone will want to be when we arrive. Void of Good Will, our Labors, no matter how perfect they seem, work the opposite of what Hard Work is supposedly about.

We believe that because we have figured out so much about how Creation works that we are wise and intelligent enough to survive, exist and prosper independent of God, and we have suceeded for a long time simply because God has remained faithful though we have been unfaithful. Even if we can't enjoy Life anymore and everything we do is a job and a struggle, a task, we convince ourselves that ability and capability are of more importance than Godliness and blind ourselves to the fact that it is Death working in us and all around us that is our fuel and makes us burn and makes us "capable." To our horor we will be shocked at what someday the worst and best of us are "capable" of...

Righteousness enjoys much ease, Rest and Peace. There is little struggle, little work, little confusion and much, much, much Peace.

Isa 48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Our Culture and Society have become predictably whorish and seductive...The only kind of rest we see is the laziness of a whore, laying in bed, waiting for a customer...yet She has untold of numbers slaving away under a heavy yoke and burden, imagining they will someday reap the perfect society.

D&C 29: 21 And the great and abominable church, which is the whore of all the earth, shall be cast down by devouring fire, according as it is spoken by the mouth of Ezekiel the prophet, who spoke of these things, which have not come to pass but surely must, as I live, for abominations shall not reign.

 

Come out of Her. Don't panic, just realize your situation and change your reaction. Deal justly with yourself and everyone around you. Stop sinning and choose and enjoy Life. If your will is still free, use it wisely. Don't be sucked into the RatRace, the winner is a Rat, and loses anyway..

Pray.

Phl 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

 

Mat 6:19-34 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is] that darkness!

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Which of you by taking thought can add onecubit unto his stature?

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith?

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.

The First Commandment

The First Recorded Commandment for man in the Bible was given on the Sixth Day of Creation and was not reffered to as a Commandment but as a Blessing; it was:

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:

And a birthday gift:

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Note: No cake.

Now, the first Commandment was simple and was an act of Love and Protection:

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Simple, eat what is good and live, eat what is bad and die.

Naked peoples!!!!

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Imagine that!?!

Now enter, sin, envy, stupidity and Death...and what have we reaped?

The Woman, Eve, in her defense, just desired wisdom, it was a virtuous desire, but True Wisdom had already been bestowed upon her and it was simplicity of Life Itself, Pure, Innocent and Exultant Bliss.

"Be fruitful, and multiply..."

What has the world come to?!

Fallen mankind became so bloodthirsty and stupid, they had to be told, "Don't kill, don't lie, don't steal, don't etc., etc., etc..."

Wherefore all these "thou shalt nots?"

Mat 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

Open your hearts...

Love covereth and forgiveth...

Pro 10:12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Pro 17:9 He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth [very] friends.

Psa 103:2-5 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Again the diet. He puts us back in the Garden and points us back toward the good fruit and away from the bad...sins forgiven...

 

Luk 7:44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet:

but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped [them] with the hairs of her head.

Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, [the same] loveth little.

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

 

Why? She returned to the Garden and though the flaming sword still barred her way, yet outside the garden she found salvation.

Mal 3:7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept [them]. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

How?

Ecc 11:5 As thou knowest not what [is] the way of the spirit, [nor] how the bones [do grow] in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

Which way do we go?

Only One Way, Only One God...

Simplicity at it's Finest...Oh, the ease of It!!! So easy, we say it must be wrong!

It's too late! We're unclean! He can't cleanse us! I'mDeath now, there's no way out!!

Vanity! Absurd ego!

He is Almighty!

Doubt not!

Mat 15:10-11, 17-20 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

These are [the things] which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Rom 7:14-25 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that [it is] good.

Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not.

For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

 

It's so complicated!!!!!

It isn't but we think like Eve, we desire to be smart and known as wise and clever, but there is no wisdom that can do away with the reality of God.

And His Way...?

Mat 11:30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.

Easy!

Back to the Wilderness where God's People became so blasphemously stupid in sin that the Commandments came...

1 Nephi 17:41 And he did straiten them in the wilderness with his rod;for they hardened their hearts, even as ye have; and the Lord straitened them because of their iniquity. He sent fiery flying serpents among them; and after they were bitten he prepared a way that they might be healed;and the labor which they had to perform was to look; and because of the simpleness of the way, or the easiness of it, there were many who perished.

Talk about ease in performance! All they had to do was look! Just look and live...

Alma 37:46-47 O my son, do not let us be slothful because of the easiness of the way; for so was it with our fathers; for so was it prepared for them, that if they would look they might live; even so it is with us. The way is prepared, and if we will look we may live forever.

And now, my son, see that ye take care of these sacred things, yea, see that ye look to God and live. Go unto this people and declare the word, and be sober. My son, farewell.

 

What follows, is truly miraculous...Those who were unclean are made clean and believe with more passion and righteousness than those who were clean and believed but have become wicked...They never really loved God and only served the Churches because they wanted personal glory or gain...While those who were ignorant of His Knowledge and Teaching have seen what they were missing and desire to be made Whole and Complete by that Power, and are willing to forsake the world for Him.

Hel. 6:35-39 And thus we see that the Spirit of the Lord began to withdraw from the Nephites, because of the wickedness and the hardness of their hearts.

And the Lord began to pour out his Spirit upon the Lamanites, because of their easiness and willingness to believe in his words.

And the Lamanites did hunt the band of robbers of Gadianton (again, a spirit like unto Ronald Reagan); and they did preach the word of God among the more wicked part of them, insomuch that this band of robbers was utterly destroyed from among the Lamanites.

And it came to pass on the other hand, that the Nephites did build them up and support them, beginning at the more wicked part of them, until they had overspread all the land of the Nephites, and had seduced the more part of the righteous until they had come down to believe in their works and partake of their spoils, and to join with them in their secret murders and combinations.

And thus they did obtain the sole management of the government, insomuch that they did trample under their feet andsmite and rend and turn their backs upon the poor and the meek, and the humble followers of God.

And they were in an awful state, and ripening for an everlasting destruction.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1Cr 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.

See? When one has "fallen," a McDonald's in one's neighborhood can seem more important and essential than a church or meetinghouse. Verily, I say unto you, the opposite is true, congregating and fellowship is never more important than when you need help and God's assistance and direction. As long as you are useful and healthy, you are free and of no use to the world (humanity so-called) and Satan. Death must enter you and control you to make you of use to this world. But if you remain sinless and healthy, you remain free...If you "fall," and most do, be very humble, and plead your case to the LORD, who hears his people's prayers no matter where they are or how far they've fallen...

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Col 3:12-14 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Closing the Joseph Files

Gen 49:22 Joseph [is] a fruitful bough, [even] a fruitful bough by a well; [whose] branches run over the wall:

The Lord surely put it into Joseph Smith's heart to make such a boast of doing more and greater than Jesus so that it may be known that those who walk before the Lord must be perfect, walking in all humility and composure. Remember Moses was denied for simply losing his temper. Joseph's boast was true, through and through. All those around him were false swearers, etc. and he had every reason to boast of keeping the Church together the way he had, though it was truly the Work of the Spirit, but to boast of a greater glory than that of the Only Begotten Lamb/Son of God is and was a betrayal of Joseph's Office and that more than anything else caused people to reject the Book of Mormon.

Joseph had been very true to his office, even if he had supplanted Another to get it and had endured and overcome so much and so many adversaries and come so far and done so much that when his run had come to an end and he could see no way of being "productive," as his name prompts him to be, he could not find the Peace of God and became cunningly sacrificial, knowing his time was up and he would soon get less than he deserved and with an eye on a future yet unrealized and knowing what it would take to further the Cause of the Church in a way that would much later allow his namesake to become productive once more.

Maybe he knew or sensed whatever his error was, maybe he knew he had overstepped his bounds. I don't think he intended to make others stumble but I think that is what God intended. Just as God intended to make Jesus the "rock of offence." Yet, with Joseph, they would stumble so as to fall from Grace.

But I'm not Joseph's judge, the Word is, and the Word speaks plainly. Joseph loved God more than any man for a time because he imagined the LORD was like unto himself, so that he suffered from delusions of grandeur, which is common unto men touched by God, and so all who judge him as a false prophet will have not only Joseph to answer to but God. What makes Joseph false is that the Work he was called to translate and bring forth was marred by his and his "seers" hands and witness. Indeed, they were liars, but they were righteous liars thinking they could get away with an abominable act of betrayal. Maybe it was all in "good fun"? Maybe they knew they would be discovered? The LORD certainly knew it, and that is why they were permitted to do so. Maybe the LORD wanted for them to have a way of working out their own frustrations and animosity they felt toward Him?

But what they intend to do with the Scriptures is indeed the work of the False Prophet and the Devil who will both be destroyed and everlastingly at the end of the Age.

Again, anyone can and may do as Jesus did. The catch is, even if Jesus doesn't do what he is supposed to, he is the Only Begotten, you may do everything better and with more zeal than he, but he remains the only acceptable Way, Gate and Door.

This drove Joseph to hysteria and envy, just as it did Lucifer/Satan. So, he did what he could, he cut a deal/bargain with the enemies of Israel, just as he did anciently when Israel's brethren sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver and he made "friends" with the Egyptians. Yet, deep down, I don't think Joseph would ever really stop loving God, nor would God completely forsake Joseph. Everything happens for a reason...

Joseph and whomever helped him bring forth the Book of Ephraim, meant to do harm. They meant to drive the LORD and His people crazy. Because some of the Work is legitimate but then as you read, a striking lie or incompatibility comes out with it, and no lie is born of God nor is it of His inspiration...what we need is a Christ to transpose again, then shall the prophecy be fulfilled, "they shall be one in mine hand," and it will be none other than the Christ, "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself." Until then, all who go by what the BoM, or more precisely, what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teach are to a certain extent and in ignorance, the enemies of God, no matter how perfect their walk and institution.

The "Saints" will be standing around wondering why God has chosen the characters of South Park (the "foolish") rather than those who attend their wards every Sunday, though the one preserve the other...It's heart check time, not gut check...

Pro 8:5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Lucifer was created as perfect, worthy and knowledgable as Jesus. Heck, Jesus may be the Only Son simply because he wasn't perfect in any other way than being God's Only Begotten Son,God accepted him because he was broken and humble and contrite and even vile, nailed to a tree. He was made to suffer the hatred, envy and wrath of all mankind, which they feel towards God.

It's unfair, or at least it seems so, but it's perfect Wisdom in God.

Num 23:19 God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

God is going to do what He is going to do with or without His Creation's Amen. The whole world curse It and deny It from beginning to end, It shall be done.

That is the origin of madness, no matter what men or "gods" or angels do, they cannot be God, but in simple obedience can be as gods and enjoy the Spirit in full. There is absolutely no way of attaining any personal glory, save through building up the Son of Man, who gave himself for all as a child and lamb, that it might be everyman's duty, to himself, his neighbor and Christ to see that this child is cared for and attains manhood...as rightful heir to the throne which he does not desire for himself but for all mankind.

The thing about Joseph is, he's not forgiving, he enjoys the suffering of others because he was once a sufferer. He would never do what Jesus did and go to the slaughter as a lamb, without speaking a word in his defense, because he isn't the Lamb. And that is why he boasted.

Joseph forsaw all the argument and envy and further division that would come from his matrydom.

His devotion to his brethren alone, erring or not, speaks volumes against all naysayers.

D&C 127:2
And as for the perils which I am called to pass through, they seem but a small thing to me, as the envy and wrath of man have been my common lot all the days of my life; and for what cause it seems mysterious, unless I was ordained from before the foundation of the world for some good end, or bad, as you may choose to call it. Judge ye for yourselves. God knoweth all these things, whether it be good or bad. But nevertheless, deep water is what I am wont to swim in. It all has become a second nature to me; and I feel, like Paul, to glory in tribulation; for to this day has the God of my fathers delivered me out of them all, and will deliver me from henceforth; for behold, and lo, I shall triumph over all my enemies, for the Lord God hath spoken it.

Number One Reason people despised Joseph Smith and Mormons???

They fulfilled Scripture and made everyone else around them look weak and sinful which is what they were.
Joseph and his followers were undefiled, holy, strong and able which their works testified to. Alas, they were not humble...and their ability was but the harvest of hatred and cunning supplantation/usurpation.


Dan 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].

The Church's Pride has made it ignorant to and of the Spirit, in the Latter-days, but The Church's Devotion and Orderliness, as well as its Endurance may pull It through, so that it may serve Him at some point, but the more is revealed about it, the more they are likely to harden themselves and act in militant denial of the Truth...which means...

Mat 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Fear not ye Mormons!

Heleman 13:8-11

Therefore, thus saith the Lord: Because of the hardness of the hearts of the people of the Nephites, except they repent I will take away my word from them,and I will withdraw my Spirit from them, and I will suffer them no longer, and I will turn the hearts of their brethren against them.

And four hundred years shall not pass away before I will cause that they shall be smitten; yea, I will visit them with the sword and with famine and with pestilence.

Yea, I will visit them in my fierce anger, and there shall be those of the fourth generation who shall live, of your enemies, to behold your utter destruction;

and this shall surely come except ye repent, saith the Lord; and those of the fourth generation shall visit your destruction.

But if ye will repent and return unto the Lord your God I will turn away mine anger, saith the Lord; yea, thus saith the Lord, blessed are they who will repent and turn unto me, but wo unto him that repenteth not.

Daniel 9:27

And then shall the work of the Father commence at that day, even when this gospel shall be preached among the remnant of this people. Verily I say unto you, at that day shall the work of the Father commence among all the dispersed of my people, yea, even the tribes which have been lost, which the Father hath led away out of Jerusalem.

Yea, the work shall commence among all the dispersed of my people, with the Father to prepare the way whereby they may come unto me, that they may call on the Father in my name.

Yea, and then shall the work commence, with the Father among all nations in preparing the way whereby his people may be gathered home to the land of their inheritance.

And they shall go out from all nations; and they shall not go out in haste, nor go by flight, for I will go before them, saith the Father, and I will be their rearward.

Behold, look ye unto the revelations of God; the time cometh at that day when all these things must be fulfilled.
 The Lord hath shown unto me great and marvelous things concerning that which must shortly come, at that day when these things shall come forth among you.

The Point

The point is that history will repeat itself if we fail to learn the lessons.

As I see it, that is what Jesus Christ tried to teach us and we crucified him rather than deal with it.

People will gladly play ignorant and go to war, as crazy as that sounds, rather than deal with the Truth.

People will suffer only to take advantage of their oppressors.

Don't ever forget that the antichrist runs the show down here, inasmuch as we allow it to.

In order for Christ to reign we must at least be willing and vigilant.

And that seems boring because we are taught that it is boring.

We are not raised in a society that seeks edifying and encouraging or uplifting pastimes. We shun God. We don't even want Him watching us.

You can't ride a roller coaster if you don't stray from the Truth.

But is that everyone's desire? Most people, once they have gotten the chance to ride the roller coaster, get sick and remark on how uncomfortable a ride it was. On the other hand, once most people have tasted the goodness of Christ and Righteousness and been uplifted by the Holy Spirit, know what it is to feel Divine, and nothing can replace or top that.

And now you can see why people love and hate those who have the Divine in them, because they themsleves have given up that right, and all because they wanted to ride a cheap amusement park ride that is now rusting in a forgotten park somewhere or being replaced by condominiums being built by a corporation which will just as speedily abandon the care of said condos when it can no longer make a profit.

People have been stabbing one another in the back since the fall of Adam and have been hating those who refuse to play that way.

It's childish and it all starts in the playground.

As Martin Luther King Jr once said,

"Just as we must learn to love wisely, so we must learn to hate expeditiously, to turn destructive tendencies away from ourselves, toward enemies that actually threaten us [rather] than toward the friendly and [the] defenseless, the more usual victims of destructive energy."

Where does our aggression come from?

Ignorance, vice, crime, disease, poverty, ugliness, and agressiveness...

As children, we are sometimes and more and more often as time goes on taught to embrace these evils, and when we find ourselves in the "hogpen" we don't always see that it is our own fault for winding up in it. And what's worse is the people we should accuse and separate ourselves from because they raised us to partake in said evils are our own friends and family. Because we have bonded with these all our lives, we are reluctant or even unwilling to blame the guilty party, and we turn on whomever we can. A la Hitler, he was unwilling to blame his own brethren for the state of his own circumstances, but he needed a hate object, as we all do, he chose the Jew. I think it was because his own brethren scared him more than the Jew.

So, my point is, as it always has been, our enemy is sin, not one another.

And that movements like the sleazy love culture birthed a fraudulent hedonistic culture of vice and forgetfulness to the extreme. Also birthed a sea of false christians and slick willy types, flimflam artists, and all manner of digruntled americans with no where to turn...they're trapped and no one has the intestinal fortitude to admit it. It made cowards of an entire nation. Tell this to your die hard hippy and they will come at you with more aggressive hatred than Hitler ever possessed.

Because you're threatening the "stash, man..."

It's ugliness and the other extreme is the militant ignorance of the die-hard "American," who is completely willing to allow everyone the "right" to sin as long as they are first to the dinner table when you fall, and you will. As if there existed a single reason to be proud about this nation beyond a distant past of Saints we called Pilgrims.

And who gets all the hate poured on them? The children, the innocents and those who are strong enough to overcome.

They must turn "Nazi" to defend their right to seek and live for and to God. It's inexcusable.

But the single act of admitting we are WRONG about our way of "life," would save us all. No one is willing, so we crucify Christ anew everyday in every way. But we were taught there is a better Way. But it takes the patience of a Saint and not many have that.

Hbr 6:4-12 For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.

For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

But that which beareth thorns and briers [is] rejected, and [is] nigh unto cursing; whose end [is] to be burned.

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

The Options

When the world says to a lad, "Be a man," it is actually saying, "give up your birthright," Your Divine Right.

The World is God's and Yours, don't give it to Satan.

Deu 11:22-24a For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours...

Jos 1:5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, [so] I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Makes me think of the movie Fight Club, you know that retardedly profound waste of fake fighting knowledge and make-up. The acting was superb, however and the script very convincing...because it's an idea based upon truth, the truth of hell. And somewhere in the world, there is a Tyler Durden dying to fight to cure his cancer ridden frame of the pain that never ceases in his existence...A similarly frightening truth can be found in the film `Ravenous.'

And there's probably and equally sad reality of some kid all alone, thinking of beating himself up because he can't find the courage to start a fight with another, but that same lack is not really lack at all. It's intelligence, love and yes, courageous to abstain from all forms of violence. The only kind of violence I can validate is that which protects another's right to act intelligently, and courageously in love toward their fellows which also protects innocence, adoration and happiness. Righteousness is in all these, whether you are the protector, the caregiver or the "lamb," all are equally righteous and the least is the greatest.

A Society and Culture that entreats lambs to become "Jack," is unredeemable.

I mean, the first time I saw Fight Club, I loved it, and I immediately went out and got drunk and felt like kicking someone's ass. It was the classic, knee-jerk, Satan's tool reaction to hollywood magic. But if I only had a mirror at that moment or if anyone had a camera and was filming me, I could barely stand and the sentences I thought to form when I opened my mouth all came out, "Blargh, I am narf come , and what you say?! I'll your Momma and I...where's my ..huh?" Or something like that and an old lady could have beat me soundly if she were straight and healthy.

The really frightening part of it all is that there are kids out there who actually started there own "Fight Clubs," the silly, rancid fruits, and all this time, Brad Pitt is sitting at home in some air-conditioned highrise in Hollywood or wherever that cheesehead lives, having his pecker manicured by some featherweight named Raul or something while overindulging in steroids to get ready for his next blasphemous million dollar making film...

I realize I have not walked in everyman's shoes and do not have the slightest idea of what it means to be you and I've learned that it's when we start to realize that not everyone we come into contact with is experiencing the same reality or even something close to our own, that things start to make sense in ways we didn't consider before.

I have no right to condemn anything anyone chooses to do.

I am very zealous to become "right" myself and anything that does not fit into that picture can not be tolerated.

My main concern is that our actions and behavior benefit our world and thus benefit us. I want us to heal. To bury age old animosities and move onward in good faith. I don't want us to be stuck in our own pride trying to prove what is obviously wrong to be right or to give it a place in our lives. I want to denounce the old and herald the new.

I have no concern for myself if what I choose to do causes others to stumble or fall. And I will not tolerate negative influences around children who don't know any better and have real hope. The generation being born now have enough to deal with in the outside world without having to come home to a "broken" and tumultuous household. A house divided cannot stand.

I'm trying to make my own way "straight" and I'd like everyone in our world to do the same for their sake, if not for our own.

Ideally, I'd like them to have a world free of all influences so that they might create their own reality, but if the choice is between deadly influences and those that honor life, I'd rather they have Life.

I realize that being "wrong" or "bad" is not always wrong or bad, and that sometimes it is necessary to do things and make choices that cannot be justified in that moment. I hope that we can all find forgiveness of and in ourselves for the things we have done to ourselves and one another. Healing and making right judgments is a lot more difficult and takes a lot more strength than any of us realize. If we could all be in agreement it would be easy as a walk in the park.

We must try to understand our "needs" and not try to make anything wrong seem "normal" or acceptable and excusable. Those of us who have "fallen" need help. Admitting that we have fallen allows those who have not to help us. "Tender Mercies."

We must protect the living rightly, and that means admitting to what is wrong and teaching them at our expense how and what to avoid so that they do not make the same mistakes. Even if I have become a slave to sin I wont makes others slaves even if it brings me pleasure or even relief.

That my dear fight club adherents, is strength and courage, not enduring a punishment as a buffoon would, in order to punish others and take yet another punishment upon punishment, but to endure punishment, and learn from it and avoid it and help others to do the same. To help the least escape the nasties.

I hope to make this stand with all those about me and with me.

Far be it from a man of God to give into temptation!

The hypocrisy is the condemnation of a Saint by a worldly adherent who is unwilling to even try to live a godly life or to even admit to sin. That is hypocrisy, not a sinner but one who is unwilling to admit they are a sinner. Instead, sin becomes a "lifestyle choice," or some other abominable excuse.

Why was Saint Paul crowned a Saint? Certainly not because he lived without sin, but because the Faith was perfected in him for a time...

 

God is the same who blessed this country with the "will, know-how, muscle and influence" to make it thus far as a People under One God, that many are claiming is the product of men's wills and cleverness. What abominable apostasy is this?! What bitter madness?!

He is here, though men have been bitter and have been trying to get rid of Him and kill His Servant and any allegiant to Him if possible. Many have remained faithful. He is testing our Faith and Loyalty.

Without Him, nothing would have been accomplished here.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

It is only when men have agreed to stop warring that these things have been accomplished. This is not American egotism speaking. Otherwise, I would say we want and will conquer the world by force, but we don't, neither do we want to leave ourselves at the mercy of our enemy. We take no pride in war. At least not the real heroes among us. And the real heroes among us are usually not heard from or of and are very small, silent minorities amidst a sea of mob madness. The heroes of war love these entities and know how to use mob madness to the Whole's benefit in order to protect the few that truly do matter.

Without me, you can do nothing...If men agree to do His Will, there will be a Way. Remember what Christ's followers were expecting of him, they were expecting him to rise up and claim his kingdom and do his and their will by force because his followers were so many at that point but he nixed their hopes and gave himself up to be crucified. His Kingdom is truly not of this world.

Yes, many in America have become greedy and self-centered but that was not how this country began. It was about escaping the greedy and self-centered and working together. And unless we recapture that essence, we will not succeed. The Law in America in a just man's hands and mind works against the greedy and self centered.

There are MANY who have never lost that will, His Will. Though you don't hear from them or about them, they are here and they have been working diligently and faithfully in the midst of madness...

Times of economic uncertainty, make very strong and rich men if they are wise. And there are many in America. And that is what is so great about American Law, when in the hands of righteous Judges, it protects the wise, who save the poor.

Humility is America's greatest asset, and the way it works is, most Americans get caught with their pants down and their hands in the cookie jar, and we look foolish but the better thing about the scenario, is that because we are a nation of fools, we are very forgiving and understanding and that is why we are able to become wise and reap a harvest out of a disaster.

Here in the "PigDog" Nation of America, (about the only bit of Truth, Bhagdad Bob ever shared with the world) Satan is using the whole 9/11 "whitewash" to further frustrate any reconciliation of God's People in Amercia and abroad.
Out of fear and a false sense of honor and pride (which we've never had a right to since the Fall) most Americans will gladly line up behind the liars/heroes made of 9/11. And it is because a great number of them really are heroes who reacted to a seemingly honorable call to defend a seemingly righteous nation. But righteousness does not compromise and this was a compromise.

Ecclesiastes 10:9-10
Whoever quarries stones may be injured by them; whoever splits logs may be endangered by them.
If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed but skill will bring success. (NIV)

Even our delusions and psychosis work out the great Plan of Redemption in the LORD. What else would struggling with sin, dealing with the long term effects of sin, denial of the latter, policing sinners, obedience to the Evil One, and trying to find solace and comfort within this context produce? Because the Truth never changes, the LORD never changes and none can escape the Judgment of the Gospel LORD.

Of course, all would become deluded, welcoming delusion rather than despair. Embrace Insanity rather than face the ugly Truth about Satan's Reign. But we must face it, or perish.

It makes me so angry to see how foolish men's hearts become outside of the Word of God and how remarkably senseless the result of all their efforts become apart from Him.

We suceeded in nothing more than giving the Whore a facelift. She didn't even have to pay for it. Our senseless pride moved us to waste our God given strength on rebuilding/cleaning up the ruins of 9/11 concentrating more abroad then at home, but here at home we helped her build an evil disneyworld like playground, that everyone knows sprang from whorehouses and rancid porn shops and bars and stripjoints that were, if truth be told, more righteous than what they have been replaced with. Evil hidden or maliciousness masked is much more destructive than evil in plain view. It rots at the core, yet looks as though it is healthy. Touch it, and receive the gift of leprosy.

Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness.

To the everlasting shame of the Saints of God, the Evil one has learned more and done more with Scripture than all the Saints combined.

That I really want success for Her People and Health and Righteousness and Wisdom in Abundance for Her Children.

We, as Americans, desperately needed something to wake us to our idiocy in policy and iniquity/inequity in judgment. I really wanted to see people killing people. But not Americans fighting some foreign "power." As if a bunch of "sand-people" with cheap second hand rifles America sold them could fight against the technology and sheer force of the American Army/Navy/Air Force/Marines! Please, but we needed blood, not oil. And we went and got it, because we were not very comfortable eating our own. Heck, we still wanted to be able to celebrate Easter and Christmas with tunes and drinks and the wonderful pageants and shopping madness, that the PigDog Nation has a vested interest in/right to. Have we bit off more than we can chew? No. We simply know someone has to get away with bloody murder, and we beat Germany for the right to be those Bloody Murderers. Don't mess with us.

Morm. 5: 24 Therefore, repent ye, and humble yourselves before him, lest he shall come out in justice against you—lest a remnant of the seed of Jacob shall go forth among you as a lion, and tear you in pieces, and there is none to deliver.

Now, all the above may seem the rant of a madman if it did not sting with Truth the very hearts of Christian Americans. We are a sadly noble race, and we have a very real and noble love at the core, and most of us would give anything to be made right and to fulfill the Dream. Bloody Jesus messes up everything, because we realize that He can fulfill the Dream we boast of emptily, because we Americans always take the easy way. We're lazy PigDogs, what do you expect. We love Jesus and we love the Dream but we have not the faith of Jesus and we have not the patience and we're already dealing with a zillion and one different obstacles and problems that we ourselves place in our paths, so that we cannot even see The Path/Way anymore. Keep your Faith far from us! We can't seeany practical way to use It in our day to day struggles and when we can't get what we want Satan usually delivers what we need.
What Americans don't see coming is the loss of even this hope. Satan is going to reneg on giving any what they need in their selfish state of slumber and the poor are going to multiply while the fierce and evil are going to get bloody and dine on the poor and wretched among us.

Alma 30:60b the devil will not support his children at the last day, but doth speedily drag them down to hell.

Hab 3:14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing [was] as to devour the poor secretly.

All the while, frightened hoardes of God's children will do their best to devote every last drop of strength to a false "Christian Social Movement" that will drain their resources and buy their fidelity/loyalty. If you have any way of fulfilling Deut 15:11, "For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land."
by all means, do so, but don't compromise Him for the sake of one loaf of bread.

Mat 4:4 It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Because Satan too wants to fulfill the Deut. 15:11 scripture as long as the bread we are buying are stones that will sink us, and the fish, asps, that will damn us.

How will "Saints preserve us" if they are not brimming over with youthful, healthy Godlike energy?

You children in Christ, how do you expect to help your dying parents if you lack the health and strength yourselves? How do you intend to help your brothers and sisters avoid sin if you do not avoid it yourselves? See sin for what it is-stupid, a waste of time and energy. Learn to laugh out loud at sin and sinners. It's okay, you've nothing to fear. Sinners are well aware of how dumb their choice is and maybe an understanding laugh will bring them out of that way. As long as deep down you really do love and care for them, they can't do anything but admit their folly, and YOU have just saved a brother or sister whom you a moment ago swore was untouchable.

By Jove! Then you are all truly under Grace and no longer under the Law!

Jhn 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
